Workshops are in depth programs consisting of at least five hours of class time and are designed to build skills. With this in mind, the groups are limited and very interactive so you will certainly leave with a brand new set of tools.

Create a caring and nurturing atmosphere in your home and learn to cope with conflict in a positive way.

This workshop, developed by renowned relationship experts, Drs. John and Julie Gottman, helps to prepare you for the most important and rewarding job you will ever have, raising a child.

Becoming a Love and Logic Parent Becoming a Love and Logic Parent® training provides parents with easy-to-use and practical techniques that help them to create respectful and healthy relationships with their children.

This unique approach to raising children puts the adults in control, teaches children to be responsible, and prepares them for the real world.


Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun


Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun The aim of Becoming a Love and Logic Parent® for 0-6 years of age is so that you can discipline your kids without losing their love and respect. This program will increase the odds that you will raise respectful and responsible kids while having FUN! Specifically the program will teach practical techniques for the following:

  • Putting an end to exhausting whining and arguing
  • Handling misbehavior in public
  • Ending bedtime battles
  • Parenting without having to repeat yourself or raise your voice!


Moms to Moms: A Support Group for New Moms


Moms to Moms Moms to Moms is a group for new mothers and their babies that focuses on gaining insight and knowledge about their new role as a mother and how to balance the demands of being a mom, a worker, a partner, and a friend. Topics discussed include, but are not limited to:

  • Stress and sadness versus post partum depression
  • Building a new identity as mom while trying to hold on to parts of the old
  • Reviewing personal stories, how you were raised and how becoming a mother opens up those stories and impacts our emotional life as parents
  • Discussing the impact of adding a child to the marriage and how to interpret marital stress
  • Learn how to respond to the baby, determine when the baby is ready for play or learning
  • Learn how to parent during the early years

Moms to Moms groups meet weekly 1½ hours for 6 weeks. We welcome up to 7 moms and their babies (newborns to 6 months) in each group session.

  • Stress and sadness about food/body issues re-emerging from the past
  • Anxiety about new fears around weight and appearance
  • Discussing the impact of peer pressure and competitiveness between women on appearance
  • Learn how to respond to the critical inner voice that demands you adhere to food/diet/exercise rules
  • Experience how EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) can help
